Terms of service

Effective September 21, 2026. What you promise when you use BarHop, and what we promise back.

1. Agreement to these terms

BarHop LIV ("BarHop", "we", "us", "our") operates barhop-liv.com, a marketplace that connects passengers with independent motorcycle providers around the world.

By creating an account, listing a motorcycle, or booking a ride you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, please don't use the service. These terms include the short passenger and provider agreements you tick before signing up, and our privacy policy at barhop-liv.com/privacy-policy.

2. What BarHop is — and what it isn't

BarHop is a directory and marketplace. We show providers to passengers and let the two sides find each other.

We do not own motorcycles, employ or dispatch providers, drive anyone, set fares, or take a cut of a fare. Providers are independent operators who set their own rates and are paid directly by passengers.

BarHop is not a transport company, a taxi or rideshare operator, an insurer, or an escrow service, and is not a party to any ride, fare, or disagreement between a passenger and a provider.

3. Who can use BarHop

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract where you live.

You must hold whatever licence, insurance, permit or age the law requires of you for the role you take — riding as a passenger, or carrying passengers for pay.

We list the details people give us. We do not check everyone's licence, insurance, identity or vehicle, so it is your responsibility to satisfy yourself before you ride or book.

4. Your account

You sign up with an email address and a password. Keep your password private and don't let anyone else use your account — you are responsible for what happens under it.

One person, one account, and the account must be in your own real name. Don't hand your login to someone else to "cover" for them.

Tell us straight away if you believe your account has been used without your permission. You can deactivate your account from settings at any time.

5. For passengers: how booking works

Browse providers, look at their rates, photos and pickup location, then send a request. Accepting or declining a request is up to the provider.

Agree the fare with the provider before you ride. Payment for a ride goes directly to the provider — cash, or the payment method they list. BarHop never holds your fare, takes a commission, or refunds a fare.

If a ride goes wrong, deal with the provider first. You can report it to us and we can act on their account, but we cannot move money between you.

6. For providers: your listing and your duties

Your listing must be true and kept up to date: the motorcycle you actually ride, your real rates, and your real availability.

You are solely responsible for your own licensing, insurance, vehicle roadworthiness, safety gear, tax filings, and compliance with every local transport law — including whether carrying passengers for pay is allowed where you ride.

Honour the rates you publish. Don't list a bike you can't ride, don't take bookings you have no intention of filling, and don't use the platform to arrange anything illegal.

You keep all of your fare income and you handle refunds, no-shows and disputes with the passenger yourself.

7. Subscription, payments and cancelling

Providers pay a flat monthly subscription to keep their listing live. In many regions the first month is $1. The subscription is billed through Stripe and renews automatically every month until you cancel.

Subscription prices differ by country and may change; we'll tell you before a new price applies to you. Unless stated at checkout, prices don't include sales, use or value-added tax, which is added where we're required to collect it.

Cancelling stops future renewals and your listing stays live until the period you already paid for runs out. Pausing for the offseason hides your profile and suspends renewals for the number of months you choose (1 to 12). While paused, a sleep fee of $1.50 a month is charged to your card on file.

Any discounted rate you were given stays in place only while your account remains active and in good standing; a new account doesn't inherit it.

8. Ride safety and conduct

Motorcycle riding carries real risk. Wear a helmet and proper gear, follow the road laws of the place you're in, and never ride with — or as — anyone who appears impaired by alcohol or drugs.

Harassment, discrimination, threats, violence, and unwanted photography are never acceptable. Treat the other side of the ride the way you'd want to be treated.

Either side may decline or cancel a ride for any reason. If someone makes you feel unsafe, don't get on the bike — tell us.

9. Things you must not do

Don't use BarHop for anything illegal, and don't book or send requests you don't mean, or spam someone with them.

Don't create fake listings or fake accounts, and don't post abusive, hateful, explicit or stolen content.

Don't copy, scrape, resell or automate access to the site or its data, don't try to break its security, and don't upload malware.

Don't share or sell access codes or invitations given to you, and don't use what you learn here to build a competing platform.

10. Your photos and words

You keep ownership of the photos and text you upload. You give us permission to host and display them so your listing and profile can work.

We won't use your photos in advertising without asking you first.

We can remove any content that breaks these terms, upsets the law, or puts other users at risk.

11. Changes to BarHop and to these terms

We may add, change or stop features as the service grows. We'll do our best to give notice of anything that meaningfully affects you.

If we change these terms we'll update this page and the effective date, and tell you by email or in the app where we can. Continuing to use BarHop after a change means you accept it.

12. Suspension and removal

We can hide a listing, restrict features, or suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts people at risk, or where the law requires it.

If you think we got it wrong, email us — we'll look at it.

13. Disclaimers

BarHop is provided "as is" and "as available", with no warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.

We don't promise the site is always available or error-free, that a provider will show up, or that every listing is accurate, safe or licensed.

Nothing on the site is a recommendation or endorsement of any provider, passenger, or ride.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, BarHop is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost data or lost earnings, even if we were warned about them.

Our total liability to you for anything arising out of your use of the service is limited to the subscription fees you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim — and if you never paid us, to zero.

This does not limit liability that cannot lawfully be limited, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence.

15. If a claim comes our way because of you

If you are a provider, you agree to cover BarHop against claims, losses and reasonable costs that come from your riding, your listing, your motorcycle, your paperwork, or your dealings with passengers.

If you are a passenger, the same applies to claims that come from your own conduct.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, USA, and disputes are handled in its courts — unless the consumer protection law of your own country gives you rights that can't be waived, in which case those still apply to you.

Please email us before going anywhere else. Most problems get solved in a reply.

17. Your privacy

Our privacy policy explains what we collect and the choices you have. It forms part of these terms: barhop-liv.com/privacy-policy.
