1. What this covers

BarHop LIV ("BarHop", "we", "us") is a marketplace that connects passengers with independent motorcycle providers. This policy explains what information we collect when you use barhop-liv.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

By using BarHop you agree to this policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. Information you give us

Account details: your email address and a password when you sign up. We never see your password — it is stored only as a secure scrambled version.

Profile details: the information you add to your profile, such as your name, gender, bio, photos, and for providers, your motorcycle details, rates, and how passengers can pay you (cash or the payment apps you list).

Messages: support messages, problem reports, and ride messages you send through the site, so we can respond and keep a record of the conversation.

Provider subscription payments: card details are collected and processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.

3. Information collected automatically

Location: when you tap "use my location", your phone or browser asks your permission first, and your approximate position is used to show providers or passengers near you. Providers choose the location shown on their listing.

Notifications: if you allow alerts, your device gives us a push-notification token so we can send ride pings and arrival alerts to that device.

Usage data: basic technical information such as your device type and which pages you use, so we can keep the site working and fix problems.

4. How we use your information

To run the marketplace: show your listing to passengers, show passengers providers near them, and let the two sides arrange a ride.

To send alerts: ride requests, messages, and arrival notifications on devices where you turned notifications on.

To collect the provider subscription through Stripe.

To answer support requests and investigate reports of misuse.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we do not show advertising based on your profile.

5. What other people see

Provider listings are public: a provider's profile details, photos, rates, and their chosen pickup location can be seen by anyone visiting the site, signed in or not.

Passengers are not listed publicly. A provider sees a passenger's pickup details only in the context of a ride request.

Your email address is never shown publicly on the site.

6. Who we share information with

Stripe processes provider subscription payments.

Google provides sign-in (if you choose to link Google), maps and location links, and the messaging service that delivers push notifications.

Our hosting and database provider stores the site's data securely.

We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our users.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We share only what each one needs to do its job.

7. Your choices

Location and notifications are optional — your browser asks first, and you can change either in your browser settings at any time.

Providers can hide their listing at any time using the offseason option in the menu.

You can deactivate your account from settings. Deactivation removes your profile from the service.

You can ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing us at the address below.

8. Data retention and security

We keep account information while your account is active. When you deactivate, we delete or anonymise your personal information, except where we must keep records for legal, tax or fraud-prevention reasons.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, but no website can guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

BarHop is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update this page and the date above. Continuing to use BarHop after a change means you accept the updated policy.
